We went to an Import Face Off event at KCIR over the week end. Although we didnt win the event we did make a new personal best ET. Heres a pic of the time slips from both runs. The pass on the left was the first pass of the day we didnt want the other guys in the class to know what we ran so max was on the brakes (see the low trap speed) and the slip on the right was bouncing off the rev limiter in 4th (our fifth gear doesnt work so good and another low trap)

I got a text from Moe after the run on the brakes. He didn't tell me why you had the brakes on though, so glad to know now. We need to get the 5th fixed so you can run 9's.

thanks for all the kind words guys. It was a fun event, and it was my first ever IFO event. there were some bad ass cars there and we feel good that we went out there with the cheapest set-up on our street car and qualified #2 and no one besides the #1 qualifier ran faster than us. (his fastest pass was 9.7 @ 156)

yeah we need to do a couple of things to try and get the car into the 9's. for one we need new valvetrain and we also need more fuel so we can turn the boost up more! we maxed out the 1000's. we also either need to shift to 5th or rev alot higher and get some taller tires

nnnnope! 5th is not an option. we simply need to be able to spin it a few hundred rpms more safely and we will be in business, taller tires would help all around with RPM and with being able to put more in it down low, but it seems to be balanced as of now.

nope....i seemed to have misplaced my suction cup and triopod and computer somewhere....so it was a lightly packed trip this time :madgrowl: hopefully i find them soon. you guys have got to see how crazy the hatch is at the end of the track when going 143mph at the rev limit lol max said it was pretty scary

well you can go ahead and not count that run, but you remember what happened last time we got a personal best in Kansas city....we ended up getting an even better time on the same setup the very next week when we came back to altitude :) now, place your bets ;) what do you think we are going to do?

we didnt get to compete so im assuming we placed last. i dont know how it works. we broke right before eliminations. we would have easily grabbed second place....very frustrating, but we learned a lot about the car obviously.

Get some head work done and I'm thinkin 9.9-9.7@ 145-147...... That is if it holds together, what broke again? Tranny issues? No? Should be possible if they will let you guys get enough runs in without kicking you out up at Bandi. The tech nazies up there though I'm thinking already have a close eye on that car.
